Lions Shrimp Festival Parade begins 10 am Saturday March 8 Route runs about 1 mile on Estero Blvd from Wachovia Bank N. to the foot of Matanzas Pass Bridge. Please arrive before 9am as bridge will close at 9 sharp til parade ends approximately 12 noon.

Dear Participant,
The annual Shrimp Festival Parade will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008. We extend this invitation to take part in the 50th annual parade sponsored by the Fort Myers Beach Lions Foundation.Our route is approximately 1.25 mile in length, from School Street north on Estero Boulevard to the Matanzas Pass Bridge.
The application and the list of trophy classes are enclosed. A non-business or non-profit type entry is only $20.00 per entry and a business or advertising type entry is $40.00 per entry. This helps us pay for permits, trophies and other parade cost. We would be honored to have your group participate in our parade.
Plan to be on Estero Island by 8:00 A.M. All participants must be over the Matanzas Pass Bridge before 9:00 A.M. since the bridge will be closed for the (5k) race. Our parade will start at 10:00 A.M.
This has always been a fun family day at the beach. Come out and join us for a day of festivities.
PARTICIPANTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO THROW ANYTHING FROM THEIR FLOATS OR VEHICLES I.E. CANDY AND/OR BEADS
