All participants in this pageant are Princesses. Thank you for participating. I am listing for you a summary of the Rules and Responsibilities as a participant. We try to make this a fun pageant. There is not talent category and it is not a beauty contest. We are looking for young ladies who are friendly, outgoing, with a pleasing personality, and who can be good-will ambassadors for our area.
Any individual participant without the express permission of the Pageant Committee during the pageant period can use no pictures for publicity. We arrange for photographs to be made by our official photographer at no cost to participants.
The Queen may be called on during the year for other events. If the Queen cannot fulfill her duties, the runner-ups will be called upon. The robe she receives is returned after the pageant and used again when she crowns the next Queen.
Each contestant will receive a savings bond. Trophies and/or prizes will be awarded to the winner of each of the following categories: Queen, First runner-up, Second runner-up, Miss Personality, Miss Congeniality (voted on by participants), and Miss Photogenic (judged on official photos).
Get to know your sponsor; you will be called upon to make an introduction and presentation at several affairs. Know about their business or association.
A one-piece swimsuit is required for the pageant, no cutouts. Your sponsor may reimburse you for your suit. You should discuss price limit with them. Many stores on Fort Myers Beach will give discounts to pageant participants.
The judges for this pageant are non Lions, impartial, not related to, nor have any connection with, any participants or their families.
Dates for photos, Queen’s Ball, Kid’s Run and other festivities will be forthcoming. Please have applications returned to me by February 10, 2012.
